The upholstered version of the Jiraf Chair. Since Jiraf’s initial sketches, the intention was to create a solid ash wood structure inspired by a spinal column, which would support a light sheet of plywood. Starting from a classical take, and working on the shape to develop a strong and resistant chair, the design incrementally became more contemporary, featuring an aesthetic more similar to a stylised giraffe rather than a spinal column.
